Chia seed jam
Jam is (usually) vegan, but this hack is perfect if you're in a hurry!

This hack is perfect for a quick & easy jam for baking or when your all out of your usual favourite.

The taste is the same, but as it is not a classic preserve the shelf life will be ~ a week in the fridge.

Ingredients

500g fruit - I use frozen!

2-3 tablespoons chia seeds

OPTIONAL:

Splash maple syrup to taste

Squeeze lemon to help preserve

Method

Cook down your frozen fruit, take off the heat and stir in your chia seeds.

Add your maple syrup & lemon juice to taste.

Jar up and allow to set... easy as that!

Side note:

Making sure you get adequate omegas is super important! Please do some calculations to ensure your meeting your needs with this & other meals!

Personally, having this as my jam replacement in the morning gives me peace of mind that I'm getting an omega hit, but diverse sources are best :)
